RoadmapChangelog and what comes next

The foundation
is built.
The rest is bigger.

MEKYRA started with the hardest part: a multiplayer rules engine that is never wrong. That part is done and playable. The platform is now taking shape on top of it, and it opens five directions that reach years ahead.

ChangelogWhat is already done

Built
in order.

Each stage stands on the one before it. Everything marked Done is engineered and tested; everything marked Live you can play on this site.

  1. October 2026

Pocket Tactics and The Last Supply Route go live

mekyra.com ships a playable project: a browser build of the engine, ghost seats, exact replay, the Break-It Lab and a team drill with an after-action report.

    Live
  2. September–October 2026

    From engine to platform

The engine becomes game-agnostic: one engine for duels, hidden roles, campaigns and drills. Authoring becomes AI-native with Rulespec and the Ambiguity Ledger.

  3. Summer 2026

    Engine foundation

Structured effects and triggers, authoritative legality, persistent decisions, deterministic execution, seeded randomness, reconnect and automated tests.

  4. April 2026

    MEKYRA is founded

Founded in Astana around a demanding multiplayer rules engine.

RoadmapOrdered by horizon, not by date

Five directions.
One foundation.

Every direction starts from something already running in the engine or on this site, and widens it: from one drill to a scenario builder, from one card game to every kind of table, from one reference repo to an ecosystem.

Studio

AI-native creation

From a rulebook to a tested, playable system.

Grows from

  • Rulespec format
  • Ambiguity Ledger
  • Break-It Lab

Now

  • Rulespec compiler: rulebook text in, typed rules out, each linked to its sentence
  • The Ambiguity Ledger on your own rulebooks

Next

  • Studio beta: import rulebooks, card lists, FAQ and errata
  • Lab balancing: suggested fixes for seat advantage and stalls

Further ahead

  • A visual builder for phases, roles and scenarios
  • Author assistants that propose mechanics and test them first

Long-term vision

  • Describe an experience in plain words and get a tested, playable first version.

Table

Multiplayer experiences

Any group, any room, one link.

Grows from

  • Authoritative multiplayer engine
  • Reconnect mid-decision
  • Ghost seats

Now

  • One engine for every genre: duels, hidden roles, campaigns and drills

Next

  • Table rooms by link, with phones as private hands
  • Host console and a stage screen for live nights

Further ahead

  • Party games and detective nights at event scale
  • Publish and share your own projects

Long-term vision

  • Public lobbies and organized play, with signed match records from a Verified Referee.

Campaigns

Living worlds

Campaigns and worlds that remember.

Grows from

  • Persistent decisions
  • Deterministic event log
  • Hollowmere world design

Now

  • Canon model: every fact with a source, a session and a confirmation

Next

  • Campaign memory: characters, decisions and their history
  • House rules that stay consistent between sessions

Further ahead

  • AI characters that act inside the rules, never outside them
  • Storylines that grow from what players actually did

Long-term vision

  • Persistent worlds that run for years, with a canon every player can trust.

Training

Simulation intelligence

Practice that runs the same way for every team.

Grows from

  • The Last Supply Route, playable
  • Facilitator console
  • After-action reports

Now

  • Drills drafted from your own playbook, reviewed by a facilitator

Next

  • A scenario builder for L&D, safety and operations teams
  • Multi-team sessions and whole cohorts

Further ahead

  • Outcome analytics across cohorts and scenario versions
  • xAPI and LTI 1.3 for your learning stack

Long-term vision

  • A library of reusable simulations for every process that matters.

Platform

Creator & developer ecosystem

Others build on MEKYRA, too.

Grows from

  • Public runtime reference
  • Engineering notes
  • Typed Rulespec

Now

  • Engine design and runtime reference, in the open

Next

  • Public API for matches, event streams and Lab batches
  • An MCP server, so agents can check moves and run tests

Further ahead

  • SDK and libraries of ready-made mechanics
  • Shared templates for rooms, drills and campaigns

Long-term vision

  • A marketplace for games, worlds and templates, and a community of creators around it.

ConstantsWhat every horizon keeps

The platform grows.
The rules don’t bend.

  • The engine decides

AI reads, drafts and explains. Every ruling comes from compiled rules, at every horizon.

  • Every rule has a source

From a card duel to a living world, each rule points to the sentence it came from.

  • People have the last word

Designers rule on ambiguities, facilitators review drills, game masters confirm canon.

  • Playing stays free

Plans pay for building. Joining a table never costs anything.
